Spanish School - Testimonials
Adult and Student groups or individual to Antigua, Guatemala - Cartagena Colombia

"I spent an amazing six weeks studying in Antigua. I stayed with a fantastic family, really felt I got to understand Guatemala and made huge strides forward with my Spanish. The school itself is very professional and the teachers I had were so well structured that you could literally chart your progress. I have also studied in Spain where it was too expensive to have one-on-one classes and Nicaragua where the schools were nowhere near as professional or effective. And once you're done studying for the day, Antigua is a beautiful town with so much around it to see and do that you cannot fail to have a great time!!"

"Our four weeks of study in Antigua, Guatemala, were excellent. The best way to learn a language is one-on-one, and all of our instructors were competent and highly adaptable to our specific needs and interests. The wide variety of optional presentations, cooking and dancing classes, and excursions helped us learn a lot about Guatemalan life and culture as well as language. Celas Maya is systematic in its operations and very effective in improving Spanish language skills."

We studied in Guatemala for four days, we thougth our teachers are really good and friendly. We recommend a week, if you are going to learn Spanish to communicate in Central America. We had a good time.

First we started to take private Spanish lessons with Tropical Adventures to improve our Spanish. We thougth our teachers are really good and friendly. We stayed with a fantastic family. After three weeks we started work in the orphanage with about 16 childrens from the age of 2 to 8 years. Was a intense experience, we never could have made in Germany. Sharing so much time with the really special childrens is the best experience you can have!

Susan Feinstein (USA) I returned a week ago from Guatemala, having spent 2.5 weeks at the Tropical Adventures spanish school. I must say, being a bit of a cynical person, I never expected the school to be as good as everyone was saying on Facebook- but it was even better! I thought the instruction was wonderful- my teacher was incredibly patient with my inability to remember much of what she tried to teach me; the setting was beautiful; the weekly lunch, dinner, and dance lessons were great; and I loved the tours offered every week. I thought the whole experience was perfect (and despite myself I learned quite a bit of Spanish). Antigua is a wonderful, fun, safe city. I stayed in the guest house, but will do a home stay next time I go to the school which I hope will be soon!

Lilla Nikolics (Hongrie) I recommend Tropical Adventures spanish school. After being here for three months I've heard a lot of stories of students from other schools and I came to the point that this small school is the best one in Antigua! If you are looking for a friendly, personal, fun and good school this is the one.

Ida Jaarvik Hetland (Norway) I was at Tropical Adventures spanish school for the first time summer '09, and came back again in January '10 as it was a super experience! I learned so much spanish - far more than I had expected! All the teachers and the atmosphere at the school is fantastic - definitely the best choice I made!! :)))) I will highly recommended it to anyone wanting to study - and actually learn - Spanish in Guatemala!
