Canada Amistad Program was born on October 1999 by Canadian citizens group, and started development sustainable programs. These programs consisted of: reforestation, natural resource management and conservation programs; school management and education, access to drinking water, women training, sustainable tourism, etc. We help children institutions, women cooperatives, to provide for the physical, mental, and educational needs. Also we help the orphans and disadvantaged families in Guatemala and Colombia.

You can help the needed communities by our sustainable tourism program development ''Voluntourism''. We provide a safe and uplifting environment for volunteer and other humanitarian groups as they come to serve the people of Guatemala and Colombia.

Volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges, and it can transform the pace and nature of development. Volunteerism benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer by strengthening trust, solidarity and reciprocity among citizens, and by purposefully creating opportunities for participation.

We offer the following:

  • Youth and Student tours and volunteerig
  • Training for volunteering
  • Training for Mayan women groups
  • Adult & Senior tourism
  • Solidarity and social tourism
  • Educational and cultural tourism
